About Robert Angelillo...

Born in Quebec City in 1950, in a family of musicians, Robert’s father, Victor, was also a bass player as well as an established music teacher, having taught guitar to Quebec legend, Félix Leclerc.

From 1969 to 1972, Robert studied classical music at the Quebec Conservatory of Music, with string bass as his elective.

He then worked as a musician at Radio-Canada (French CBC) in a number of variety shows and soap operas: L’Ami Boulanger, L’Heure de Pointe, Vedettes en Direct, les Beaux Dimanches, du Tac au Tac, etc.


From 1972 to 1986, Robert accompanied many well known French and American performers, such as Gilles Vigneault, Jean-Guy Moreau, Charles Trenet, Alain Barrière, Jerry Lewis, Joel Gray, Al Martino, to name a few. He took part in spectacular concerts like the Super Franco-Fête in Quebec City in 1974 with Gilles Vigneault, Félix Leclerc, and Robert Charlebois. Added to this is Robert’s experience in theatrical productions at the Théâtre de la Marjolaine. In the 1980's, Robert taught electric bass at CEGEP de Drummondville.

Since 1990, Robert has devoted his time and work in music in every possible way. He has organized and played in different musical combos, designed to meet his clients’ needs, using his expertise in the music domain. Duets or trios, from jazz to classical music, string quartets, ballroom orchestras; these combinations and others are available to satisfy his clients’ needs and tastes. In addition, Robert offers a team of professional DJ’s to guarantee a most enjoyable and successful event.
